Our First RetroFutures Lighting Installation

RetroFutures Cage lights installed at the Little Harbour Hospice

We worked with multiple Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal winner, Darren Hawkes Landscaping, to add some light to his wonderful new garden shelter at the Little Harbour Children’s Hospice in Porthpean.

Darren wanted bright colours so we custom-cut four of our Cage pendants in different coloured fluorescent acrylics. We pre-wired these with a four-way splitter, transformer, dimmer switch and mains plug, so all they had to do was hide the wires and plug them in. Running off just 12V rather than the traditional 240V, they are incredibly cheap to run.

And they look fabulous – as does the shelter and associated landscaping.

The Greenfingers Charity, who commissioned the work, said on Twitter:”We love these magical lights shining bright in our Greenfingers Garden at Little Harbour.”

A job well done – and the first public sighting of our RetroFutures lights. We’ll be starting a crowdfunding campaign in a month or so, to fund our own laser-cutting machine, to launch early in the new year. If you’d like to know more – we can cut lights for you in the interim – please contact us.
