We are delighted to announce that Any Old Lights have been chosen as one of the top 100 small businesses to represent this year’s Small Business Saturday event.
The 100 winners were announced in The Guardian last week and we are one of two small businesses in Cornwall to be granted the honour.
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. It was developed in response to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday events, which tend to favour larger businesses.
The Small Business Saturday 2017 event itself takes place on 2 December, when those participating will run events and offer discounts.
Each of the 100 small businesses is also granted a day of promotions and ours is on 9 October – watch this space.
Our aim is not only to highlight our own business, but to partner with the other wonderful independent and family-run small businesses in our hometown of Fowey, to encourage support of shopping local.
