First up, this stunning tripod vintage floor lamp. Our engineer, Clive, has custom-mounted a classic, imposing vintage cargo light atop one of our exclusive heavy teak tripods. These lights once illuminated the deck of an ocean-going cargo ship and would have been painted light blue-green, to protect from the elements. We have stripped the paint and professionally polished the vintage lamp.
The light itself is solid cast brass, with a spun steel body. Set off this sizeable lamp with a giant bulb – we recommend (screw-in) E27 vintage light bulbs with LED filament sized G125 or higher.
Clive wires each one with 2m of vintage-style flex, switch and UK mains plug.
These cargo lights, a few years back, were fairly easy to source. Now they’re becoming increasingly rare and the market price is rising accordingly, so get in quick if you’ve had your eye on one!
This serious statement light that will draw the eye in any lighting design scheme. If you’re renovating a restaurant area, it would make unbeatable vintage bar lighting.
