It’s Been Too Long!

Sorry about that. Time flies when you’re rushed off your feet.

Perfect juncture for a little catch-up.

Staff News. All good things must come to an end, and lo, John Bell has moved on to pastures new. We wish him well in his new endeavour. In his place we’re delighted to welcome Tracey and Stef to the AOL team, both from Fowey. Tracey’s from an accounting background and is sorting out all our finance and spreadsheets, Stef’s qualified in the performing arts and is adding some glamour to our little boutique at 9 South Street. Do drop in and say hi.

Stock News. Did I mention we’ve been buying loads of amazing vintage industrial gems? Latest additions to the site include our classy little stripped and polished (by Patrick) Griffin & George 1960s lab lights, vintage-style-wired and ready to go. You couldn’t ask for a more stunning looking bedside light, while imagining the lab coats, serious haircuts, NHS specs and bunsen burners. Plus two, very hard to find, red – red! our favourite! – 18-inch 1950s Benjamin pendants.

Further Stock News. We have a new shipment of original lights arriving in a couple of weeks, stuffed with restocks – of note, of the aluminium Lemar passageway lights and the brass Japanese passageways – and new items. Get your magpie eyes ready. Updating here very soon.

And Finally. If you’d like exclusive discounts of selected lighting and goodies, join our Newsletter mailing list (in the website footer). We only email when we’ve plenty to say so you won’t get bored of us. Promise.

(I was going to illustrate this post with a pic of some lights, but there’s enough of that here already. So instead, here’s one of my youngest daughter lost in a ball-pit (where I was shortly to lose my car key).
