We love Christmas at Any Old Lights – anything with twinkly lights and glitter is a winner in our book – and we’re very excited that it’s only four weeks until the Fowey Christmas Market Weekend. If you’re visiting Cornwall in December, come and help us usher in Christmas 2016 at our renowned annual Christmas Market
From Friday 9th to Sunday 11th December, our beautiful town hosts a weekend of festive entertainment, food and drink, along with plenty of opportunities to pick up some unique Christmas gifts.
Now in its 12th year, there is so much to choose from, with over 200 stalls spread over five different sites – the Fowey Town Quay, Fowey Town Hall, Webb St and Fowey Leisure Centre. New this year is a dedicated food and drink market on Albert Quay, with numerous delicacies on offer.
For the first time, the market will be open on Friday night, along with Santa’s arrival by boat and lantern parade. We’ll also be open for late night shopping on Friday night – come and browse our Fowey shop with our eclectic range of vintage nautical and industrial lighting, as well as other maritime curios such as mirrors, clocks and telescopes. Join us for a Nadelik Gwynn (Christmas drink) or mulled cider.
As ever, there will be a seasoned mix of exhibitors, a hog roast and music from local choirs. Plus Christmas stilt walkers, who will be leading visitors from the market through the town centre.
Plus Fowey has a fantastic array of unique independent shops, great restaurants, cafes and pubs to relax and take the weight off your feet when the shopping has got too much!
A free programme will be available in November with a full programme of events. Fowey Christmas Market is often the same weekend as Padstow Christmas Market but this year there is no clash as Padstow is the week before.
Come and see what all the fuss is about!
