Ah, the festive season. It’s generally during the bit between Boxing Day and New Year when identifying which actual day it is becomes problematic. Gravy courses through the central nervous system and fizz blights the senses. Dates become jumbled, days become lost and suddenly there’s a stranger wishing you a Happy New Year.
And it’s all over…today is Tuesday!
Actually, we didn’t stop working over the Christmas period – and Clive, our refurb genius, was even toiling away on the day itself. (Big commercial order of an great batch of vintage Benjamin pendants, all requiring seven shades of TLC.)
We also had a couple of major shipments arrive in December: one, of our contemporary vintage (new) lights – including the latest addition to our own-brand range, the Lemar pendant light, pictured; the other, which arrived shortly before Xmas, of vintage nautical lights. Among the latter are several new to our range, generally stunning, which we will be refurbishing and photographing in the coming days, then adding to the site. Also plenty of vintage clocks, yet unseen at AOL Towers.
Given delays on those shipments, out of our control, we’d built up a noticeable backlog of orders. Thanks to Justine, our Customer Manager, we turned those around in record time and we’re now all clear for the New Year.
January’s going to be extra-busy, as we’ll soon be able to share some exciting news which we have to keep under our hats for now – hopefully we can reveal all in the next week.
It remains for me only to wish all our customers a very happy and prosperous new year, from all the team at Any Old Lights!
